Treating Warts in Children

Often, a wart occurs in children due to skin to skin contact with other children. It is contagious and most prevalent in children between the ages of 12 and 16. Warts also occur when a contaminated toy is touched. Aside from being annoying, warts are not harmful. Nonetheless, your child will probably want it to go away, and that can be done easily at home using natural remedies.

Castor Oil

Castor oil is an effective remedy to help remove warts. Just apply it twice everyday by rubbing it on the affected area and you’ll see the wart reducing after some time.

Orange Peel

Another easy and effective method is rubbing an orange peel on the wart. This will have to be done every day for two to three weeks and you’ll find the wart disappearing entirely.

Duct Tape Method

Not strictly natural but it is one of the most effective home remedies and even accepted by science. When a duct tape is applied to the wart, it begins to itch which triggers the immune system to begin healing.

Here’s how it works. Just put a piece of duct tape on the wart and leave it there for a week, in case the duct tape gets removed, put another one on immediately. After a week, remove the tape, remove the dead skin and put on  fresh duct tape again. Within a few weeks, the wart will be gone.

Potato

Potato juice is very effective with treating scars and warts. Just cut a raw potato in half and rub it on the wart until the juice has been applied well. Use it two to three times a week to see results.

Try out the above methods and your child will be free of warts just after few weeks of effort and without any side effect of strong wart medications.
